Life Style and Weight Management Course
It is something known for a long time but the public has yet to embrace the concept that diets don't work!
Successful weight loss requires a multifaceted approach - sound nutrition, safe and effective physical activity, appropriate life style changes and psychological and emotional support.
It must be noted again and again that obesity is a major cause of health risks such as hypertension, osteoarthritis, coronary heart disease and diabetes.
On this course the instructor will teach and advise you on the fundamentals of nutrition and energy balance both of which are essential to long term weight management.
This eight-week weight management course takes place on Tuesday nights at 7.30pm. It involves weekly weigh-ins, measurements and nutritional reviews together with exercise guidelines and a toning class each week. The client will be encouraged to take control of their own weight loss by the use of food and exercise logs.
